I find it not unusual that church and the gathering of Gods people is when I miss Dad the most. Especially as we celebrate Advent, his memory is very close to me. Dad and I planned many Advent seasons together through the years. I see him in all the events; I hear his voice as we sing Christmas carols; I remember him as we read some of his favorite Scriptures. I havent made it through a Sunday service yet without tears, and maybe I wont for some time yet. But I know that he would want me to be here, so I will keep attending, with my tears and my memories. I sure do miss you, Dad.
