I find it very arrogant for my college to require from me a written statement why it has taken me longer to achieve my academic objective and how my circumstances have changed. Its like a child being scolded and having to write 100 times, I will not talk in class. I find that the older I get the more frustrated I become with the system. Actually it took me longer to achieve my academic goal because I was busy living. I was having fun in Paris and getting wrapped up in a Romance in Romania. I took time off to drive across the United States and back. I took time off to spend some alone time on my family farm in the midwest to clear my head. I spent a year splitting my time up between San Francisco and Monterey. I was soaking up the sun at my house in Toluca Lake. Oh there was the time I went to the Oscars and decided to spend a few days in Vegas. I saw the Grand Canyon, and flew to Virginia and had lunch with friends at a quirky alien themed diner in Richmond. I went to Illinois and sold my house. I went to Armenia and bought another and decided to stay for the winter making friends who I didnt even understand half the time. So you see, it took me longer to finish my academic goal because, well, quiet frankly I didnt have a goal that focused on academics. I was busy living!
