I find my thoughts are razor sharp in the morning during that magical hour when the sun is struggling to climb the horizon again. Sitting in the bitter cold of morning, watching the sky being painted by the sun in the east, this scene unfolding before me awakens my soul. Something pre-historic sharpens my senses and I am suddenly aware of everything. I want to shed this cloak and return to nature, I no longer want be part of the parasitic plague called the human race consuming the planet sans regard to the consequences... with increasing wonder I let this thought take hold and let my mind wonder.... I understand and feed this fantasy.... I shed it all and return, naked to the cold and let it consume my senses... It is undeniable that we all feel the pull to the open air, mountains, plains and sea... Someday.. we shall ALL return to the earth from where we came. Until then, I encourage you all, shed the shit voluntarily strapped onto your shoulders in the name of having just a little more... Set your souls desire upon a pilgrimage and return to nature as often as possible in your most fragile state. Breathe in the cold... take the sun upon your face and calm your thoughts. Just be. When you return to this, you will know peace... youll realize the rest is cannon fodder ment to riddle your life with holes and leave you bleeding, stumbling, and looking for patches to plug the holes you continually create. I am humbled and thankful for the life before me. Thankful for everything, the good and bad... Above all, Im thankful that my eyes are open and my mind free to process events (that some perceive as mundane) in a way that continues to prepare me for my return to the earth and the simple things in life. My only hope, is that in all my musing, Ill be able to relay this information to my son in a manner he would understand to spare him some of the needless suffering uneducated men endure.
