I find myself becoming SO defensive about my job and about exactly what we do. SO many narrowminded/stupid comments about todays emergency landing 🙈 some people literally have NO idea what we are all trained to deal with. We are NOT waitresses in the sky and we definitely deserve a lot more respect than we receive. If there is a fire, if there is a medical incident, if there is a fight/brawl, and if God forbid there is a disaster, its US who deal with it. We dont call the police or an ambulance or the fire services when we are 35,000ft in the sky and half way over the Atlantic! We are everything rolled into one. So next time you get on a flight and youre a bit arssy because we dont have your first choice of meal, or a slice of lemon for you G&T, THINK about who you would turn to in an emergency. Its the crew.. the crew you are often rude to, the crew who have been awake for 37 hours and can still manage a smile and a thank you, goodbye when you cant even acknowledge us. I love my job more than anything, and I feel safe in the skies knowing if something was to happen, I will be in the trusty hands of my fellow crew members and the pilots who safely transport us around the globe. Thank you 💖
