I find myself being repeatedly surprised to come across Christians who are perfectly content to know little about the finer points of Christian doctrine andmore content to avoid all discussion and debate about it. Some of these seem to suppose that this path is indeed a higher road in their minds, but what does God say? Is it MATURITY that leads one to forsake the desire for greater spiritual food? In order to REACH maturity, one would have to first possess that knowledge they admittedly refuse, so how could it be? In the Spirit, the writer of Hebrews (5:12-14) sought to SHAME his readers for the fact that they similarly chose to remain spiritual infants rather than growing to maturity, where they could chew on more difficult truth. Dont be a spiritual baby your whole life. God wants to see His children grow, especially in their knowledge of Him. Stop listening to yourself talk long enough to get a good meal without choking. Hunger for, taste, chew, and accept His word as your food. And share the good food you are given with your friends.
