I find myself going I cant believe Im turning such and such an age. I hear a lot of people like this. Omg I am turning 30! I feel so old. I cant believe Im turning 40- how did this happen? 50? Man, this cant be.... Etc etc. I want to remind us all that we should be so lucky to reach any age. My dad died at 38. I mean, what? What the hell kind of bullshit ripoff is that? 38??Today is my moms 66th birthday. My dad wasnt given the chance to say, oh my God, Im so old. How am I 40 already? It may seem obvious and kind of a precious thing on a Monday, but come on, do you ever find yourself lamenting your age? May we all remember the Privelege it is to wake up each and every damn day.
