I find myself thinking about the situation that we are in and how these last 5/6 months has effected me and the family, I can actually say out loud without shame that this has made me feel very low, I cant remember the last time I slept comfortably without every noise make me jump up and it makes me wonder how many people are going through this in this country in these times. I have seen what i though were changes during my 40 years on the earth in regards to racism, it is with a very sad and heavy heart that I have to admit that whilst there has been some changes, it is now more hidden and bitter. I have to speak, I am damn tired of seeing and hearing the hate. When things go wrong we say it is the Eastern Europeans, when one person does something bad we blame the whole muslim race, when we as black people make remarks about each others ethnicity, Oh the African, Oh the Jamaican (what is that all about???), when we talk about white people in a racist manner but would not tolerate white people talking to us that way what are we saying?. I am so sick of people finding ways to justify a problems with racism, the local crime rate has gone up it because gypsies have moved in, or too many blacks, or they have too many muslims or too many irish.... GET A GRIP crap happens because we are people, not because of our skin colour, or where we originate from. Its ok to ask me who I am or where I am from if you are curious that is not racism, but to ask me that question to define if I am capable of doing a job, or if you are making a decision on a loan that is where I have to laugh because where I am from does not define or guarantee any standards, it is me the individual that does that Please continue to share and support the petition Peace and Love peeps
