I find so many prospective students pinging me and asking basic questions about higher studies abroad.... There are so many students who might need our help on a yearly basis... What I would urge fellow MS students who have graduated and got a job is, to kind of summarize their experience and share it on their wall or write a blog... It would be very helpful if everyone of us cover at least the following... The name of the university.. What all departments you think is good to apply.. How did u manage to get funded be it part time or assistantship... Even if u havent been funded before u graduated, at least suggest some ways which u understood later that might help forthcoming students.. ( Basically the international students assistantship/part time searching scenario in your university)... Then talk about how you prepared for interviews and what did employers look for.. Talk about interviews and your observations... (You can also add on whatever u want to other than these because once u start writing ul get the flow) Dont worry about construction of the essay, language etc .. Im sure whatever you write in your own imaginative way will be very useful to someone or the other waiting to do higher studies... I personally feel its a great way for current graduate students to help the future students... Though there are websites and forums out there to help people, I think reading from friends circle will be much much better rather than reading an anonymous persons experience... Some prospective students mind set might completely change in the middle of their bachelors and they would be fully focused and optimistic on perusing masters after reading your essay... This is the least we can do in return for whatever wev got :) Cheers
