I find the human social dynamics and psychology of working with singers or singer-songwriters so fascinatingly different from working with a band. Absolutely fascinating. In many ways what I do as a producer is similar to a psychologist,mediator and/or mentor or simply a person that he/she or they can relate and confide in without feeling judged and in many ways a personal manager of human emotions and inter-person dynamics.
