I find this information rather sad and scandalous, that the boat donated to Ghana National Rowing Champion to train with has been locked up at the Aflao border customs because of import duty! These are the little things that sadden me deeply, and makes me question what kind of people we have working in our sports and national administration. The speed with which tax waivers and deals get ratified by the legislature is lacking in other areas that are of national administration. You would have thought the sports ministry would be happy that the International Rowing Federation had saved them some money with this donation, will expedite the clearing of the boat without any let or hinderance so the athlete can train and compete with the world for honours. Is this the story any person who has dreams of dying for Ghana would like to hear? Is Ghana really worth dying for? I guess its safe to say leadership has no clue how things are for the young. Sadness cannot define my mood, neither can anger!
