I find this kind of nonchalant attitude running rampant and unchecked in many VA facilities and as one who served his country voluntarily to be put in harms way so that others could have the freedoms and luxuries that many squander and show disdain for daily, sets the hornets nests of impatience and intolerance ablaze within me as I struggle to understand what I have done to this person(s) to receive no respect or understanding? No honor or truth? I laid down my life so that you and your childrens children could go to school, play in the yard, laugh, fall in and out of love, have a roof over your head, and food enough to fill all of your bellies? I gave up life, limbs, family, my sight, my hearing, my sanity, treated with disgust, disdain and told just get a job from most of you and your kids, too? I am looked down upon, ridiculed, spat on because I dare ask for the crumbs from your table after I kept the bullies from breaking in your back door and taking all you had? It breaks my heart on a daily basis because this is exactly what workers in the VA system make me as a Veteran feel like with every phone call not answered, email deleted, dirty look given, cursing us under your breath...we see it, we hear it, we know....all because we have seen stuff that if you in your glitzy high paying office jobs would see you would fill your Calvin Kleins or Victoria Secrets shorts so full and wet you would be as embarrassed as you make us feel EVERY time we respectfully come to get what was promised when we took that oath to protect your ass not to kiss it!
