I finished reading The First Few Minutes by Sangeeta Talwar Suneja - TopicsExpress

I finished reading The First Few Minutes by Sangeeta Talwar Suneja which is a compilation of poems, short stories and essays. The first thing that struck me was the simplicity and a distinct style in her poems. Her love for nature is lucid and conspicuous in her writings. Her insight into spirituality is obvious too. Her vantage point is powerful enough to influence the reader to a great extent. She touches a variety of subjects that is interesting and endearing. Some poems have a marking of a science student which she was. She connects with ease through her stories like The Silken Thread and Mynah. I do not profess to understand wholly each poem of hers as some are too philosophical (for my simple mind :) )and multi dimensional but some close to my heart are Prayers of an unwanted Tree, A Broken Bucket, Co-existence, A thought Hop-scotched, The Sweet Cinnamon, I do not want to be loved, I Falls Apart and a few more. Sangeeta is a wonderful, sensible, mature woman who has many a times corrected my puerility and naivety which has brought us very close. Her book reflects her beautiful soul.
