I finished the Fall of Hyperion a few days ago. It wrapped up nicely everything that started in the first book. Like, all loose ends were masterfully tied together in a way that was surprising and satisfying. I really liked the structure of book one, but book two got way more in depth with some pretty interesting societal concepts. Its hard to say which I prefer, I think they are inseparable. Paul Sever, you might like these, they are relevant to some of your favorite topics (the blurring of the line between humanity and A.I., etc.) Lots of literary references, specifically to Keats, that made me want to go back and read some of the material that informed this story. I may read books 3 and 4 but from what I understand they stand alone as a related but distinct story arc, so Ill put this series on pause for now.
