I firmly believe in making a kid work for what they want. I believe that every kid has a talent. That they need to find it and work on it. Not all kids are going to be professional athletes. They have to learn to put their time into their craft. Failure will teach them to work harder and persevere. I hate the practice of giving trophies for participating. You have to work your ass off and earn those things. The sense of pride would justmake you want to even try harder. I feel that kids dont know how to push themselves past their comfort zones. Without pushing yourself you will never know your true potential.
