“I firmly believe that any man’s finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause, and lies exhausted on the field of battle…victorious.” Vince Lombardi Election night, 2014, was the climax of our maximum effort to win a gerrymandered district, against long odds, and to help Larry Hogan change Maryland. It was a hard fought battle; our team of volunteers and I campaigned at full throttle for over a year, and gave our all to win. Outspent by hundreds of thousands of dollars, and hit with some of the most disgracefully misleading attack ads in Maryland, we played clean, stuck to our game plan, and worked our hearts out for our good cause—lower taxes, lower spending, and job creation—because Maryland’s future hung in the balance. When the smoke cleared, we laid exhausted on the field of battle……victorious. In a gerrymandered district, we had won more votes than even Speaker Busch. We gave our all to win; now I’m asking you to give “some.” (Or a little something more.) Although we were outspent 5:1, we did what it took to win, and now have a campaign debt to “retire.” So let’s kill two birds with one stone--please join me and my special guest, House Minority Leader Nic Kipke, for a Victory Celebration and Campaign Debt Retirement Party on Tuesday, January 13th, at Pusser’s, 80 Compromise Street, Annapolis, 21401, from 5:30-8:00pm. Nic and I will give you a preview of what to expect during the legislative session…and then kick off a night of celebration with a toast to our new Governor. Sponsors ($1,000), Hosts ($500), and Patrons ($250) will receive special recognition on our Sponsor Board. Individual admission is $75, and couples $100. You may reserve admission/contribute online at herbmcmillan , pay at the door, or mail/make checks to Friends of Herb McMillan, PO Box 6075, Annapolis, Md, 21403. If you can’t attend, we hope you will still help out with a contribution. It’ll be a great time, especially for those who werent able to join us on election night. We look forward to celebrating with you this Tuesday, January 13th! Warm Regards, Herb
