I firmly believe that this was one of the dominant paradigms during the first 90,000 years of humanitys existence before the discovery of agriculture some 10 thousand years ago. I dont think that otherwise, we would have survived as an intelligent species during those turbulent epochs. What happened after that? Agriculture allowed for the first time the accumulation of large surpluses, of riches, in cities and towns.. Then, over a period of a few hundred years the discovery of agriculture was perverted by a few that could not resist the temptation of plundering neighboring cities and villages... This was the Patriarchal revolution - The Patriarchal revolution created the concept of women as property, of slavery, of large-scale war, and of empires as a necessity for social survival... And we are STILL living with the consequences of that perversion...
