I first learned of the Pissing Razors in 1998 when their full length, self-titled debut was being released. It was a rep from their label at the time, Noise Records, who had contacted me & sent me all their press materials. I had never heard of them & I remember being especially intrigued to hear that there was a signed metal band out of El Paso of all places. When I finally jammed the debut I was totally blown away by the sheer brutality of it & I almost instantly embraced it as I was proud that these Mexican brothers could throw down so hard & represent Texas, our culture & metal in such a pure & heavy way. But from my perspective (as it is still to this day), GREAT bands don’t only have impactful songs, but can ALSO tear up the stage & deliver LIVE. As I came to learn,….oh could the Razors destroy that stage! SO,…it is with a glad heart that I deliver this video to YOU (all their fans) to re-embrace the beginnings of something quite special. This video surely does not represent the first time I shot the band, as this show was in support of the band’s 2nd release, ‘Cast Down The Plague’, but it was always one of my favorites from the RMW archive,…so plan to hear killer tracks like, ‘Mass Corruption’, ‘Disaster From Above’, ‘Where We Come From’, ‘Reality of War’, ‘Dodging Bullets’ & many more. The release of this video now is even that much more significant with the band announcing (just yesterday) that they are REUNITING and will be delivering new music & shows in 2015. So to my good friends, Eddy, Joe & Mat - we ALL look forward to your return. I know the legacy you created 16+ years ago will continue to endure. ~ El Mero Metal
