I first saw Uma Thurman in the Baron of Munchausen. In a scene - TopicsExpress

I first saw Uma Thurman in the Baron of Munchausen. In a scene which I learnt later was inspired from Botticellis - Birth of Venus. The image stayed, partly spurred on by Uma Thurman, partly by the visual spectacle of the scene. And years later, standing in front of the real masterpiece in the Uffizi Museum, I just couldnt look away. It wasnt just the colors (they are much more vibrant in real life), not just the details, not just the mastery; I was in awe of Botticellis mind.
