I first want to say that I did not know Robin Williams and his family, but as someone I greatly admired and respect for both talent and gentleness of spirit I feel the need to defend he and them right now. I can not believe that while some are grieving over this loss, others are tormenting his children with nasty remarks and talking smack about his finances and illness. What did this man and his family ever do to the likes of you? Mental illness is as legitimate as cancer and he struggled for years. It is remarkable that despite this horrible condition he managed to give of himself to the world in so many wonderful ways. As for his money, what significance does it have on anything that he accomplished. It is not a marker of his value as a human being. I would have been blessed and privileged to have known him and will gladly stand with those who loved and continue to love him. Back off, meanies.
