I flew out Friday to go to florida to Raise money for Guardia Angels Medical Service dogs (same place money from penny wars in Rochester are going to) for the passing of leash ceramony, flying on US Airways. Checkin told me plane was full and Gate would have to find space for Sun . Gives me boarding pass. I arrived at gate and explained cituation, employee of US Airways said that he didnt have to provide space for sun and he couldnt change it if front ticket lady couldnt. I pulled the medical service card out and explained that ADA regulation requires US Airways has to provide adequate space. He replied he didnt care and didnt have time for this and taunted me to call the manager after I requested one. He refers me to the ladies boarding the plane next to me. Phil came the manager on duty, and provided me a open seat and was space for Sun. The individual who taunted me told stuardist of incident. Boarded plane and when the wheels went up, Sun was frightened by sound and jumped in open seat. The stuardist comes from first class and starys yelling at me and my dog to get sun of seat. I put sun on floor, and he continued to argue as I asked him to leave us alone. He replies you dont tell me what to do. Even thratened chuck a veteran behind me because he said the dogs on the floor why are you still back here. The wheels went down he came back again to yell at sun and I. By the time I got of plane over ten passengers where giving complaints to anothrr manager in airport. A very nice moment. Went to head US Airways head office to file complaint. The higher ups were great kind and made sure my next flight was no issue, even had a manager there to make sure Sun was treated well. Kinda odd feeling but no problems getting on. Flight back Gainsville to NC told ck in of prior issues, provided seat 1A, by asking passenger to trade seats because of a Service Dog as I was sitting there. Aquard to most part. Boarded plane first lady attendant said the was space for dog and plane was full, didnt argue and walked of plane plane boarded as I stood by gate. Went to plane stood out dior as they figured it out. Aquard moment 2, last flight went great. Please help get this out for change in the way veterans and dogs are treated.
