I fly out tomorrow for Bangladesh and want to share what prompts me to travel so far. For the last 24 years, my life has revolved around children either my own or the children that come through the doors at Gymboree. I believe strongly that every child deserves to have their basic needs met and experience a childhood that is enriching, safe, secure and loving. Whether it is in Oregon or in Senegal, Africa where I have traveled repeatedly or now Bangladesh, I believe I need to have ears to hear, eyes to see and voices to advocate for the needs of children wherever and whenever I can. I look forward to sharing with you what Ive learned when I return. Thank you for your support of the staff at Tanasbourne in my absence. Teacher Leslie
