I forgot to mention. After the past decade of basically taking care of others, I decided to take care of me. That is to say, I went to Toni&Guy in Plymouth to have my last rotten haircut in Tavistock fixed by actual cutters who have been trained in London, headquarters of precision, avant garde haircutting. I am happy, happy, happy. Worth every penny for the great wash/scalp massage, the massage chair/bed I reclined on while the washing happened--and the cut is the best that could be done with the mess left ten days earlier. Then I did a little shopping. OK, quite a lot of shopping. All for me. That is very rare of late. But HAH! Im back. Time for Laura to take care of Laura. Did I mention the bag full of body sprays and such? Almost stopped for lunch at Yo Sushi, but it was crowded as it is Easter holiday week one and the sprogs were clogging it up. So I stopped at Waitrose and got goodies for home. And this morning, we took Browndog to the beach. And now I must briefly work again. Did I mention how damn good it felt to have a NYC-style haircut? Whew. Done with the boonies at last.
