I forgot to mention that Dr. Lamont Smith (Texas) and I were sworn in as NABSES (National Alliance of Black School Educators) Regional Presidents yesterday in Kansas City. Lamont has the Southwest and I the Southeast. 2 myths- 1)only Black people can join- FALSE. Membership is for anyone who serves children, particularly Black or Brown children. 2) You dont need an affiliate- FALSE. If you do not have a local affiliate or would like to start 1 just message me. It is easy and I will help. We NEED to start or join now more than ever in this educational and legislative climate. Im here to help.
