I forgot to post yesterday was John Paul Jones birthday, the less talked about genius from Led Zeppelin. Like most bass players thats fine with him. He is so much more than that though, keyboardist, a choirmaster at the age of 14, loving father and husband and brilliant arranger and session musician prior to Zepp. Most arent aware that he arranged the strings on this brilliant iconic song from the 60s and I think played bass on it as well (Lulu was in my opinion the epitome of 60s English cute, at least to this seven year old boy at the time).
