I found myself sitting at the Courthouse on Wednesday with a dear - TopicsExpress

I found myself sitting at the Courthouse on Wednesday with a dear friend who, because she was the victim of a crime, was there to testify against the armed robbery suspects. My purpose in being there was to be a support as she had to relive the anguish of facing the barrel of a gun. Not sure of the degree of support I could provide, and even though I never entered the courtroom, was well aware of the proceedings. Here we have two perpetrators who were caught on camera and caught with the marked bills on their person attempting to get off as innocent. There are two attorneys for the suspects arguing their innocence and engaging in maneuvers in an effort to free their clients. These attorneys, knowing full well of the guilt and evidence, are advocating for their acquittal. I am a strong promoter of justice and have faith in our justice system. I truly hope that in this case, justice will be served and my friend can finally stop with the nightmares that have plagued her for 18 months. Having said that, I also recognize fully that I stand in the same position that these two stand. I am guilty and according to scripture, have an advocate, Jesus Christ the Righteous going to bat for me. He argues my case before His father and goes far beyond being my representative. My propitiation willfully took my punishment and in doing so not only achieved my acquittal, but also pled with the Father to grant me Mercy. All of this being done long before I breathed a breath of life. Greater love has no one than this, that a man would lay down His life for a friend. I have attached two pictures to this post. The first is one of the symbolic Scales of Justice. The second is a replica of my Scales of Justice. Interestingly enough, they are similar in shape. The comfort I gain from this is that the scale that served to render judgment on me was fashioned from a tree that the righteous judge planted.
