I found out a year and half ago that I had an autoimmune disease called Hoshimotos (which is where your body attacks and eventually kills off your own thyroid). Although I have done everything a person could ever do to help reverse the disease and stop the attack on my thyroid my lab work this week showed that my thyroid is no longer working properly so its time for thyroid medication. When I first heard this news I felt so discouraged because I am not a fan of medication but after a lot of prayer I am hopeful this is the answer to easing the symptoms I have been battling for so long. I am thankful God created medicine for situations like this when our body needs it. This disease has taught me to take care of myself, reduce stress, simplify my business and it has brought me so much closer to God. It has taught me how to take life a day at a time and lean on Gods strength when I dont have any strength of my own. This disease has reminded me of what truly matters in life and helped me to stop chasing the things of this world. I am thankful God allowed me to go through this and that He never left my side as I have faced many difficult days with it. I am thankful for this challenge in my life that has taught me so much.
