I found something to do with the washable, non-toxic paint I had - TopicsExpress

I found something to do with the washable, non-toxic paint I had kicking around. We get a LOT of wild birds in the yard because of all the trees, shrubs and pond and because all the foliage is reflected in the windows, and all the not-so-experienced juvenile waxwings have been flying into them. For the last couple of days, its been constant so we are always hearing the thuds and going outside to check. A couple have died, some fly away when we go to pick them up, some we have to pick up and place on a tree branch to recover (which can take a few minutes to a couple of hours) and some cant perch so we bring them in and put them in a box and put them somewhere dark and quiet for and hour or two. We had bought those decals (which you can see on the windows if you look really close) but they dont work at all. So, I grabbed the paint and painted squiggly lines on all the windows that they hit. It doesnt look great, but it doesnt look really bad. And, once summer is over and the birds are gone, it easily washes off. AND, not one single bird has flown into the window since about 8:00 this morning (12 hours)!! SUCCESS!!!
