I found the perfect apartment! Its the first floor of an older, historic home in Saline. Two bedrooms, fenced back yard, lots of windows, a cool front porch and wood floors in the hallway and living room. Even some great built ins and within walking distance to downtown. Best of all, I can have pets. So, I decided NOT to move. Yep---all that complaining about my neighbor (who, incidentally, moved out early....) and wanting a kitty and I told the guy no. Here is why: Although the rent is more than I pay now it was still within an easy reach. However, when I was weighing pros and cons the initial outlay of money made it easy to decide to stay. Deposit, rent and the cost of moving were more than I am willing to pay out right now. I need to have a better nest egg $$$ before I drain the bank account. And, although he wanted me as a tenant (naturally---LOL) he found someone else right away. I told him that if they leave in a year I want first dibs! Im ok with my decision and look forward to a quiet new neighbor upstairs and some money in the bank.
