I found these photos on my iPhone recently. They were taken during the salvage operation, which involved searching for and recovering Alliance Trust from the Atlantic Ocean. She had been adrift for 2 days and had drifted south to the edge of the continental shelf. I was very lucky to get her back as she was very much on the limit of where nearly all the salvage boats I contacted were willing to venture. It was a huge relief to find her out in the expanse of the Atlantic and to get her safely back to harbour. This, of course, was only made possible by the amazing generosity of all those who donated towards the salvage costs, support which I will never forget. Alliance Trust will spend the winter in New York and Im very grateful to the team at Liberty Landing Marina for agreeing to look after her over the next few months. Im not in a position to get her home at the moment so its good to know that shell be looked after in the meantime. Look forward to seeing her again sometime.
