I found these two sweet little guys after they were dumped on - TopicsExpress

I found these two sweet little guys after they were dumped on Square D Road in Denison. Despite horrendous dental neglect and being infested with fleas, they both appeared well-fed. The poodle had been recently groomed. Theyve been well socialized, and are incredibly loving, cuddly lap dogs. For the sake of brevity Ill use the names my daughter gave them, Fighter (whos really a lover) and Curly. You can probably guess which ones Curly. The vet thinks theyre are both around 7-9 years old. Both very small, weighing about 8-9 lbs. each. Both prefer being in the house. Probably house trained. I havent given them free run of the house but we do walk a long way to the back door a few times a day and weve had no accidents. They also havent peed or pooped in the bathroom where they sleep. Curly does, however, have a bit of a dribbling problem. When I found them he had testicular cancer so his neutering surgery was a bit more traumatic than Fighters and it took him longer to recuperate. He didnt dribble before he was neutered and its getting better each day so Im thinking the trauma of the surgery may have caused it. Fighter has no health problems other than a few missing front teeth and one canine that had to be pulled. He has all his molars. Energetic and playful. Stands on his hind legs and paws the air. So cute! Curly has a few more issues than Fighter. He has only one or two front teeth, one canine and one molar. He has no trouble eating soaked kibble, though, and has a great appetite. He has cataracts and possibly arthritic joints. He walked rather stiffly before the vet put him on an NSAID. I believe they are incredibly bonded to one another. As they follow me through the house to go outside, occasionally Curly gets lost if Fighter and I walk too fast. As soon as Fighter realizes this he goes looking for Curly and leads him to me. I guess hes appointed himself Curlys seeing eye dog! I would love for both of them to find a new home together.
