My name is Ishalaa Serrano I workeJan 3, 2012 My name is Ishalaa Serrano I worked for Telvista as an agent and as a supervisor for AVON (such of great company) 6 years starting on December 5th of 2005 through December 30th when I got fire because the situation I will explain to you … The company mentioned provided services for you AVON and other USA companies, Sadly months ago I discovered that this company test for HIV to those that apply for a job and If they are positive to the test they are not able to work for Telvista. What a DESCRIMINATION I said ,because Im a human righths activist I can’t let this happen under my nose without doing anything, I started a process in CONAPRED (conapred.gob.mx ) the government institution we have to resolve discrimination again Human Rights. I did speak to my manager Karen Metzler about a very closed case that happened on our campaign AVON, one of my agent after request a campaign change she totally qualify for this new position, Legal Department requested Her to resigned and to follow all the process for any new person that apply to work at Telvista as a first time, and as everyone, she were test for HIV and others clinical conditions without notifying her what they were testing for, so she test positive on HIV, because of that she were return to Avon and not just happy with providing in an incorrect way such a terrible news the Human Resources Department person that attend her under a supervision of Claudia Mesa deliver the information to everyone ,YES , everyone knew about this situation, just imaging how this make the little girl feels (she is around 20s). I request to speak to Legal Department in charge Erick Martinez and I was rejected, Because of that I found that I was tested for HIV too, and even worst me and all person that get the job are charge 300pesos (around 26 dlls) for a test never received … I´m frustrated no just because of that NO, it is because the way I was treated when I request my test to know what else they tested me for . I have an interview with Claudia Mesa after insisting to be attended all a got was a rude and a big NO when I ask for my test ( Claudia words : you must bring the corresponded autorities to ask me for you test ).. Avon is a company that works around the world for a better future, focus on the woman world, I don’t think that you find this situation correct also I don’t believe you share this discrimination way that Telvista have to select the employees. It´s necessary that you put your hands on this to stop the process immediately , Also for your information Girls and Women are being testing for pregnancy if they are , of course they cannot work either. There is also a Important issue with salary, agents are requested to work more than the 8 hrs a day sometime 11hrs and they are not paying the extra hours as must be under the Mexican Constitution Law. I will show proves of what I’m saying from different agents and me at the legal precedures I did start agains Telvista . I did again request to speak to legal department and Karen Metzler made 2 appointments for me with Erick Martinez to clear this, once again because the corruption procedure they have to still workers money of course I was rejected twice without an explanation I also have copy of this. This is the real reason what I got Fired the past December 30th 2011 I will go to the National and International Government Departments to have this situation resolved also to the NEWS (Newspaper , TV ,etc.) everything I need to do will be done to avoid Discrimination again People living with HIV and People treated as Modern Slavery on Telvista (Grupo Tecnico de Servicios S.A de C.V. ) Bi-National Company, hope co-workers in USA do not pass through all this embarrassed situation As Mexican I apologies for all what my country can’t deal with, some people stupidity close they eyes to the real world where every soul is different but we all are human and we all have the same rights.
