I found this comment on Facebook, comparing Bush years in office, this is in response to Obamas days in office. In fact they are just throwing out falsities and hoping no one will take the time to research. Here are some real facts. Bushs unemployment rate was 7.8% in 09 when he left office but it was 4.3% when he took office from Clinton. Consider first the median income when Bill Clinton left office after 2000, the median income was $52,500 (measured in inflation-adjusted 2008 dollars). When Bush left office after 2008, the median income had fallen to $50,303. Thats a decline of 4.2% As far as gasoline... Ive only ever seen it go up in general so thats hardly a standard to judge by. If we must then Clinton years ranged from $1.06-$1.22 compared to bush years that ranged from $1.46-$2.76. National dept: CLINTON left off at $5,662,216,013,697 BUSH turned that into $10,699,804,864,612 a 100% increase and also leaving Obama with costly wars to contend with a crashing economy, a $1.2 Trillion Deficit, and a house full of republican congressmen who would end up blocking any and all of his attempts to fix the economy and create a recovery. They instead on wasted time and $50 million on voting 46 times to defund the affordable healthcare law instead of working with the Pres on job creating legislation and now another $24 billion in this tea party shut down the federal gov charade. Republicans no longer are allowed to call themselves the fiscally responsible party.
