I found this in a tribute to Brent Koel by the Bay Area Health Club. After months of hard work, educating myself, eating right, and exercising, I have my consult with a surgeon on Friday. Brents success has been and will continue to be an inspiration for me to succeed as well. As his family is saying goodbye at his funeral I will be in Rochester MN meeting with the medical team that will help me in my journey to better health. Brents passing has been a very emotional and thought provoking time for me. I am so proud of him for fighting to become healthy because it is not as easy as many think it should be. At the same time I am so angry that he lost his life so soon. I know that the changes that he made are probably the reason he was still here, so I will also bravely continue on my journey. Once again I ask that everyone will do something to improve your own health. Imagine tomorrow for your loved ones if you were no longer here. Health, happiness, and love to all.
