I found this on DA and thought it was relevent: So my fellow Hetalians, does anyone remember what our fandom used to be like? We were peaceful and everyone got along, there was no hate, we didnt bash each others ships and whatnot. That was what made our fandom different and special, what set us apart from the other fandoms. But Ive been noticing that we arent like that anymore, theres really aggressive shipping and hating on pairings and characters. Weve been divided because of this, were tearing ourselves apart. Cant we stop the hate and wars and just be friends again? Isnt that what Hetalia was trying to teach us in the first place? At least thats what Ive learned. Hetalia taught me how to see the good in everyone and accept them regardless of anything, Everyone has their good qualities and bad qualities, and there is always an option for everyone, no one is truly useless. Yes I know, the title Hetalia means useless Italy but even useless Italy proved that he can be brave, what he lacks in physical strength he has in mental strength. Ive also managed to dissect the Hetalia movie and figure out the metaphor. Remember how at the beginning of the movie the nations were all complaining about working together? And when they tried their different ways to fight off the Pictonians they failed. Then Japan decided that they should show the Pictonians some hospitality instead of using violence. Later they tried to fight again but they all got turned into Pictonians, all except Italy. He found a way to make the Pictonians happy and be friends instead. Did anyone notice that whenever the nations tried to deal with the invasion on their own they failed? But when they worked together they succeeded? Think about this analysis for a minute. What could Himaruya be trying to tell us? That fighting is a fruitless struggle, and the one who can live their life peacefully and just be happy without needing to dominate others, without being selfish and being kind to everyone, who holds no grudges and lives in the present, they are truly the strongest one. Now let that sink in, we need to be the happy and peaceful fandom we once were, and dont just use this in the fandom, use this in real life too, I promise you will benefit from it, I know I have. When you think about it, our little fandom has more sense than the government, does anyone realize what this means? I may be only one person, and I may be just a child, I may look small and innocent but within me is the anger of a hundres Eren Jaegers.If the Hetalians unite again we can change the world.
