I found this talk amazing. It sums up how to look at life. Some of you know that I have very limited vision. When I was in Jr. High I wanted to be a oceanographer, my very wonderful teacher in the science class had a talk with me one day after class to explain that with my vision I would not be able to see in a microscope just what was going on. Later in life I wanted to be a radio station first class engineer, the guy that takes care of the transmitter and gear, nope, need a drivers license to get to the transmitter site. I also wanted to be a news reporter, drivers license needed. The telephone company in Portland Oregon wanted to hire me because of my ability and first class license, nope, drivers license needed. They even tried to talk an eye doc into signing a drivers license waver for me so I could get the job as the job really didnt involve driving but the job description called for it. The one thing I found I was good at that didnt need a drivers license was being a musician and that is what I concentrated on at that point in my life and it has been a good choice. Doesnt pay as well as those other jobs would but such is life. Im not complaining, its been a whole lot of fun.
