I founded the CORE Team in 2006 with the intention of uniting some of the top performing martial arts students from within our school and providing them with the opportunity to train together, learn together, and ultimately - excel together. We started out simply as a Martial Arts demo team that performed across the community for anybody that was willing to watch us. At the beginning of 2014 however, we realized that if we REALLY wanted to excel, we needed to step up our game and take on bigger opportunities. And so, we officially became a Competition Team and started competing in the National Black Belt League NBL circuit. Well, this past week we were at the climax event of the circuit - The Super Grands World Games - and Alexandra Seefeldt took home a world title with her Hard Creative Bo Form, Pauly Piazza took a hard earned 2nd place with his Hard Creative Open Hand Form, the Demo team had one of their strongest performances ever opening up the first Finale Super Show (Link: youtu.be/o5TZX0gmv9A ), and all-in-all every team member SHOWED UP and left a statement in their divisions! Needless to say, I was blown away. I couldnt be more proud of this team and how far we have come and cant wait to see where we are bound to go. We have SO MUCH POTENTIAL and I know that it will be realized with persistence, work ethic, and drive - something I know every member on this team has. BIG thank you to everybody in the NBL who has made us feel welcomed and at home in the circuit. We wouldnt be where we are today without all of your help and it really meant a lot to us to have people around that cared. Heres to making 2015 our best year ever!!! #Cheers
