I gave a nutrition presentation 4 different times to 4 different groups at Shane Cliffords Goalie Camps this summer. I covered many topics which ranged from the very basic macro nutritionist to mentioned blood testing for the elite. This article does a great job of outlining the basics. I often get asked about supplements... To which I ask if they are eating the 3-6,000 calories that they need a day to perform and recovery from training and playing. Most have no idea where they are. Why use a supplement if the body is in a nutrient deficient state? Their body hates them and creatine or another GNC product isnt going to fix it as these 8 points outline. Master the basics through commitment and then add to that for an additional competitive edge.
