I generally dont post my transgender group posts publicly but such sad news of defeat over a faith based on gods love and acceptance of our human differences is just too wrong to hide in a topic group silo. I was driving my elderly parents home in the rain from my sisters home in Ohio to Philadelphia perhaps when this happened. Despite the efforts of some in Ohio to be progressive, an enlightened public policy cant change deformed Christian prejudices exercised by parents in their home. This tragedy will deepen when the grieving parents eventually understand that the view of christianity pushed on them or embraced by them to handle their discomfort has nothing to-do with the intention of God sending Jesus or the words and actions of Jesus, meaning their efforts to force their child into what they wanted was un-christian.
