I get asked this question from time to time: Is there anything cheaper than Verizon for cellphone service? Well, yes there is. There are a few options, but I can only speak to what I have been using since April of this year and have zero complaints except that I forgot to renew my wifes plan when it was due. Page Plus Cellular allows you to use any old or new Verizon phone outside of a contract (when your contract has run out) to switch to their low-cost service, using Verizons nation-wide coverage. For an even deeper discount I use this service on Page Plus called Exclusive Cellular: exclusivecellular/ Here are three positives of switching: 1. Saves you a lot of money. I personally get 3GB of Data and unlimited calling and texts for $53. 2, I get to use my wifi hotspot without Verizon raking me for another 20 bucks a month. 3. NO CONTRACT, need I say more? One more, I you have a 4G LTE phone you get the 4g speed with the purchase of a SIM card at $6.95, no additional charge for the extra speed. There are two negatives that one can live with: 1. When you are outside of a Verizon coverage you are in roaming. Not such a big deal if you are not a frequent traveler to the nether parts of the US. 2. You cant share the data or minutes, but if you are a conservative user these plans might be just what you are looking for. Personally, 3GB per month is way plenty for me.
