I get into these online debates, sometimes with noted members of the auto racing media. Honda tells me that they can set a new track record at Indy w/ the current cars, just using their current Push to Pass boost levels (and permission to change the engine afterwords, which of course used to be the way it was done). Tell me -- if some sanctioning body (ie, IMSA again this week) sets a new track record by turning up the boost, installing bigger injectors, etc, is that really the same accomplishment we had back in the 70s with those new track records?
