I get it. On 9/11 some 13 years ago terrorists took planes to very important places to us and broke our spirits. Killed thousands. I get it - thousands died that day. But on that same day, how many Americans died from hunger, lack of medical care and access to it, and even beyond America, how many died from lack if access to something as basic as clean water. Dont get me wrong, I will always stop briefly during this day and remember - my dads surgery, the haunting photos of NYC that a friend sent, and of course each abundantly broadcast detail.
