You either get what makes sense and flows, or you get direct translations that sound choppy and can make little to no sense. I always use idioms as examples, because they make the most striking ones... TRAIN GO SORRY makes NO EFFING SENSE in English. In ASL, it does. In English Id look at you say, That ship has sailed, dude or You missed the boat on that one.
