I get super annoyed when I am linked in articles where the plight of Black people is diminished by those who refuse to acknowledge and accept privilege. Let me give you a run down: 1. Playing tit for tat is childish. If you have a legitimate issue with anything going on in your life or community, bringing it up during someone elses tragedy in an effort to take the light off them is disrespectful 2. White people are privileged. The quicker some of you recognize that, the better off well all be 3. If youre upset that rallies arent being started when white people are murdered by Blacks, understand WHO you should be mad at: YOU. How many times have you seen a group of people who were not impacted start a rally in place of the ones who should be doing it? In times of duress within the Black community, have you seen any of us looking to Asians or Hispanic people for a start in a movement? Ill wait.... 4. I dont care about folks opinions of me when I speak the way I do. Im tired of the whining and Im most certainly tired of the disrespect some of you are showing Michael Browns family. This disrespect doesnt havent to be a direct comment on the situation but the way some of you are trying to remove the light on what this situation is and making it about YOU is the disrespect 5. I am not anti anybody but I AM (very) pro Black. You dont like it? Delete me. Been this way since I first witnessed blatant racism in junior high and I can ASSURE you Im not changing 6. All Black people dont want a hand out, nor do we expect anything more than fair and equal treatment. No way should we have to teach our kids anything differently from the things you teach yours but baby, we have to 7. I dont care about your side eyes. See comment 5. You aint gotta be my friend but some of you also dont have to deal with the things I see. You will not be missed 8. I dislike odd numbers If I see even one of you rallying behind this darren guy (and YES I snatched his caps), youre deleted. Period. Any questions or concerns?
