I get that were all disillusioned about politicians and how they all lie, but the fact that Abbott fully campaigned on the back of all of the lies labour told, and how they broke so many promises etc. I dont know how he can possibly rationalise the hypocrisy here. If he gets re-elected at the next election, than all of my faith in democracy will probably be irrevocably destroyed, as it would be plain to see that the public, in that situation, would clearly be unable to make informed reasonable decisions. I can understand the easily manipulated population in the first instance, but having watched the consequences of that manipulation play out, and then re-elect him - that would be the final straw.
