I get this question a lot: What is your secret to your baked goods? The answer is really quite simple: 1) I follow the recipe EXACTLY. I never alter from it or take short cuts. If it says to mix for 20 seconds I time for 20 seconds. 2) I use high quality extract, vanilla beans (check out Sonoran Spice company for the best beans!), morsels, and full fat butter and cream. 3) I never bake unless I know I have at least 3 hours because rushing causes frustration and that causes mistakes.
