I get very annoyed with people who trash the kerbs and people who come out of their homes and say bad words about people who are only collecting some items for upcycling or keeping for their own use. I would rather see this than see the items go into landfill. People are so lazy and uncaring about the environment that they cant even take batteries out of toys and recycle them at their local library or somewhere. Batteries are the worst item apart from chemicals to go into landfill. And if people are too feckin lazy to take items to an Op Shop or call a Not for Profit for pickup, or take to a recycling centre, then I have no sympathy for them. I dont recall signing up for a throw-away-society, which is what we have, but then I have a conscience. There are people on this website who cant afford really nice furniture etc and if they have been fortunate enough to find great items on a verge, good luck to them.
