I go today for treatment #10 of #12. I pray my blood levels have come up enough to get the treatment. I dread it. It has been a long 5 months of chemotherapy. But I realize I am just over a month away from be being finished. Sam is taking me today. I am glad for that because my body is weak. After surgery and months of chemo, when I look in the mirror I barely recognize who I once was. I have lost 50 lbs (a good thing), but physically I feel very vulnerable. However, I am stronger than ever spiritually. All of our bodies are decaying and dying. But if we know God through Jesus Christ, the real person never does. Praise God! I have no reason to be discouraged! The Apostle Paul put it best: For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
