I got a 10 month old girl yesterday. Her owners were having issues with her and just couldnt give her the time and training she needed. She is AKC Registered ( we completed her registration as the previous owner had not) I wanted more info on the breeder, etc because the owners were told that she had a health guarantee but they were only TOLD that. They had no paperwork for that. Shes very nervous, she paces, cant be still, not fearful just the Dane version of an ADHD kid. She knows commands but is distractable. I am enrolling her in a training class. My concern for her is her hips, she looks hunched to me like her spine is curving. I cant get a picture where she isnt tucking tail so I dont know if you can really see what I am talking about. When I get her vet checked and if there are problems what should I do? Find the breeder? Shes registered to me even though she was sold to someone else, should I contact them and tell them to contact the breeder? She was crated in a crate that wasnt big enough for her to stand up in for 8 hrs a day so could that have caused some issues? I want to keep her, of course I am just unsure of what the ethical thing to do is.
