I got a $6 dollar check from NYS yesterday because my local school district taxes stayed below the 2 percent cap, but how did that save money if it was sent to me and it cost more to cut and send the check to me than the check is worth. The savings is in the fact that the taxes didnt go up too much. Isnt that good enough? Or is it a way to increase jobs in the Capital District? It is time to stop the insanity from both sides of the political aisle. I just dont understand how this is helpful or needed. What we need is less Orwellian type governing by state and federal governments. Surprised that a liberal democrat would say such a thing? Well, my views are more complicated than left or right. They are about equity, fairness, justice, personal responsibility, balanced budgets, and citizen engagement. Now, time to shovel my driveway!
