I got a call on Friday just after 11pm (23hrs) to pick my son up from work. After I picked him up, he asked me to take him to his girlfriends house for gifts exchange and that her parents have requested to meet with me. I said, meet with me at 11:30pm? Why? Is she pregnant? He said no. They just want to meet me as they are traveling in the morning for the holidays. I was thinking, if its one of those lectures parents of girls like giving, I dont want your son seeing my daughter talk, I will just walk away, after all it was past my bed time. Or, we dont approve interracial dating stuff, I would just politely tell them good night and drive away. What happened the moment we rang the door bell and mom and daughter opened the door and dad came to join us in their nicely furnished living room was beyond expectation. We ended up having a great time and stayed till past 12:30am (00:30hrs)! They asked that we meet for dinner, at their place, after they return. There are really good people in this world.
